A couple of weeks ago, Heather, a nine year survivor of a rare, aggressive cancer called mesothelioma. She was diagnosed 3 months after giving birth to her baby girl and the doctors gave her 15 months to live. This was in 2006. She contacted me about celebrating All or Nothing Day which is all about celebrating those moments we thought were impossible and also living each day like it's our last. As my little contribution to this day, I thought I would share my inspiration sources to hopefully inspire you to celebrate the inspiration in your life too. Unfortunately I forgot to post this on the day, but I still thought I would share this with you!
Friends.
I think our friends are a great source of inspiration, and they greatly affect who we are today. Friendship should be about constantly learning from each other, their past mistakes as well as their past successes. I constantly better myself due to my friends, quite often it isn't anything apparent, but maybe change my opinion about someone, or understand a situation a little better etc.
Environment.
Your surroundings are a major part of your life. I find that my surroundings affect me depending on where I am. I like to keep my working and personal environment clean and tidy, and even though sometimes it doesn't work out and things get messy, when I tidy up and clean I feel more relaxed and happy within myself. My advice is to find somewhere you feel happy and comfortable and work on making that space, your space.
Books/Blogs.
I find quite a bit of my inspiration from the blogs I follow, and some new ones I find along the way. I love finding inspiration for photography from other bloggers photos, and I love feeling inspired and motivated for the day after reading some blog posts in the morning. I also love reading, so some of my inspiration comes from the books I love and the characters within them. Even though most of the book characters are fictional, there is so much you can learn from them, and their mistakes.
Music.
I love music, and I find this another source of inspiration. I love listening to new tracks and feeling the meaning of them and what the song means to the artist to help inspire me. This is beginning to sound very cliche, but it is true! Next time you listen to one of your favourite songs, see if you can listen to the meaning of the song and use it to inspire your day.
What are your inspirations?
This is beautiful<3
