A couple of weekends ago, I went camping with my family to Carfest North which was organised and put together by Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans. While I was walking round the stalls of the festival, I came across a juice stand (I can't remember the name for the life of me, but if I do then I will update this!) which sold cold juices and smoothies. In case you don't already know, I love smoothies so I wanted one almost immediately! After debating what to have, I decided on a 'Big Five' which consisted of oranges, strawberries, mango, pineapple and kiwi which was delicious. I wanted to have a go at recreating the smoothie at home, and see if I have found a new favourite.
Ingredients:
4 Strawberries
1/2 Mango
1/4 Pineapple
150 ml Orange Juice (with bits)
1/2 Kiwi
Method:
Mix the frozen (if you have any) fruit with the orange juice until blended nicely. Bit by bit, add the non-frozen fruit into the blender until you get a thick, smooth liquid. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
I absolutely loved my smoothie, and it has turned into a firm favourite of mine! I love how it is so easy to make too, all it takes is a quick blend to make a healthy, enjoyable drink which you can cover and leave in the fridge for a couple of days if you really wanted too!
Are you going to try this out?
This looks and sounds DELICIOUS! I'm definitely going to try it out :)
