Last Minute Christmas Present In A Jar

I think we have all been there; Christmas Eve and you suddenly realise you've forgotten a loved ones Christmas present? I have done this a few more times than I would like to remember, but this cute and thoughtful gift has been my lifesaver. This present is just made from things you have at home, which makes it really easy to whip up - and it doesn't look cheap or tacky at all!

Supplies to make festive cookies:
- A jar, as long as it has a sealed lid it doesn't matter what type!
-100g of self-raising flour
- 100g of grated chocolate or chocolate chips.
- 100g of brown sugar
- 30g of cocoa powder
- 2 tsp of allspice

Just weigh out each ingredient and pour it into the jar. The trick is to layer each of the ingredients onto each other so it looks cute and festive! You can't see in the photo, but I started off with the white flour and just poured everything else in after. What I love about this recipe is that you can customise it to suit your needs, if you don't have any chocolate chips just grate or finely chop chocolate instead! If your loved one doesn't like cinnamon flavours, just leave out the allspice!

The last thing to do is just add a label or a gift tag saying to add 1 egg and 80g of butter!*

*I didn't realise it was 80g of butter before I wrote and photographed the pictures; this has been changed since!

Will you be using this recipe as part of your Christmas presents?
